Annual festivities hosted on the lofty peaks of Pfünz
Maria Himmelfahrt Vigil Service at Pfünz Church
The Maria Himmelfahrt vigil service is set to take place at the Pfünz church on August 14th. The service will begin at 7:30 PM, accompanied by a brass ensemble to provide musical support during the ceremony.
The vigil service will be held near the site of the first Nicholas Church, by the North Tower of the Roman Castle. After the service, there will be a blessing of the herbs as part of the tradition. Following the blessing, refreshments and a light snack will be provided for attendees.
In case of bad weather, the entire event will be moved indoors to the Pfünz church to ensure comfort and safety. The service, which will occur on the eve of Maria Himmelfahrt, will not take place at the original site of Nicholas Church.
The mass will begin at 6:30 PM, preceding the vigil service. It is important to note that the location of the service has been changed due to potential bad weather.
Attendees can look forward to a spiritual evening, filled with music, tradition, and community. So, mark your calendars for August 14th, and join us at the Pfünz church for the Maria Himmelfahrt vigil service.
After the spiritual evening at the Pfünz church, participants can return to their homes, reflecting on the ceremonies, thus maintaining their lifestyle. During the event preparations, volunteers may also work on improving the home-and-garden decorations within the church premises to enhance the ambiance.
