The Art Gallery of Burlington is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary with a three-day gathering from October 16 to 18, 2025. The event, 'Sustainable Futures: Art Education Summit', aims to envision the future of art education in the face of global climate catastrophes. The summit is generously sponsored by TERRA/Kind Matter.

Kicking off on Thursday, October 16, the summit launches online with a virtual session featuring writer Lauren Markham. The following two days, Friday and Saturday, will host in-person events at the gallery and other locations. These events include presentations, roundtable discussions, and workshops focused on sustainable art-making practices.

Registration for the virtual and in-person events on October 16 and 17 is free. However, Saturday's events require paid registration on a cost-recovery basis. A visit to Crawford Lake costs $12, while AGB studio workshops are priced at $40.

The 'Sustainable Futures: Art Education Summit' is an opportunity for art educators, enthusiasts, and professionals to gather, discuss, and learn about sustainable practices in art education. Despite no specific details about Victoria Ho or her speaking at the event, the summit promises to be an insightful and engaging experience.
