Autumn-themed Cupcake Workshop by Jennie, Showcasing Sugary Decorations
Sweet Designs by Jennie recently hosted a new cupcake class called "Hello Autumn." Amelia and the speaker, who have been attending cupcake classes at Jennie's studio for approximately a year, were excited to participate.
The class began with the unveiling of the custom design for six cupcakes, originally a custom order from last year. The decorations included bases with a wood texture effect, pumpkins of various sizes and colors, acorns, and flowers, all designed to reflect the autumn season.
The class included pre-baked cupcakes and all necessary supplies. Jennie provided drinks and demonstrated the decoration process using fondant. The fondant used in the class was softer than usual, making the decoration process slightly more challenging, but Jennie's guidance was invaluable.
One of the highlights of the class was the two sunflower cupcakes that were iced. The leaf technique used in the decoration of the sunflowers turned into pedals and looked cute. Amelia and the speaker decided to move the fondant flowers from the sunflowers to the pumpkin cupcakes, and the sunflowers on the pumpkin cupcakes looked good with the added fondant flowers.
The class also included stamped out filler like ivy leaves and leaf-y leaves that hardened well and looked fantastic. The speaker found the piping part of the class enjoyable, while Amelia and the speaker did not enjoy creating the fondant squirrel as much.
Interestingly, the next Autumn-themed cupcake class Amelia and the speaker will attend leans more into Halloween. Despite this, the "Hello Autumn" Cupcake Class did not involve any repetitive activities or decorations from the previous class. The class did not include any advertisements for other events or activities.
Overall, Amelia and the speaker enjoyed their time at the "Hello Autumn" Cupcake Class and look forward to attending future classes at Sweet Designs by Jennie. The sunflower cupcakes were a part of the good mix of fondant and icing activities in the class, making it a memorable experience.
