Bremen, Germany, is now officially recognised as a 'Street Art City', joining over 1,700 cities worldwide showcased on the popular 'Street Art Cities' app. This digital platform offers an interactive map of street art hotspots, providing detailed information about artists, styles, and the stories behind the works.

The city's vibrant street art scene is particularly evident in the Viertel neighbourhood, known for its artsy and eclectic atmosphere. This area is renowned for its street art, indie cafes, and creative scene, making it the prime place to explore urban artworks in Bremen.

To make it easier for residents and visitors to discover and experience the diverse street art in Bremen, the Street Art Cities app has been launched. The app can be downloaded for free on popular platforms like the App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android, and can also be accessed via desktop devices at streetartcities.com/cities/bremen.

Senator Kristina Vogt, who is responsible for Economics, Ports, and Transformation, believes that strengthening the cultural scene makes Bremen as a whole more appealing. She invites everyone to explore the artworks in the city and experience Bremen's creativity firsthand.

Local artists such as Peter Stoecker, Tobias Kroeger, and Markus Genesius, whose works are featured on the app, appreciate the platform for providing easier access to the city's street art. They see it as a unique opportunity to reach young people and position the city as a vibrant cultural metropolis.

The Street Art Cities app offers various routes for different styles and artists in Bremen, making it a valuable resource for street art enthusiasts. Routes such as "Urban Minimalism", "Lucky Walls City Route", and "Graffiti and Street Art in the Quarter" are now available in the app.

The project was funded from the Citytax budget through the Ministry of Economics. Bremen is one of fourteen official partners of the Street Art Cities app. A group of professional "hunters" from Belgium and the Netherlands have been invited to Bremen to search for the most exciting artworks for the app and archive them on the platform.

With over 65,000 artworks and used by over 120,000 active users, the Street Art Cities app is a significant addition to Bremen's tourism strategy concept. The app is intended to grow further, together with the community, in the coming years.
