Campbell County Senior Citizens' "Island Time" Picnic Set for September 24
Seniors in Campbell County are invited to join the annual Senior Citizens' Picnic, themed "Island Time", taking place at Pendery Park in Melbourne on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. The event will run from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
This tropical-themed picnic promises a day of fun, food, and entertainment. Attendees can enjoy live music, bingo, chair volleyball, and corn hole. There will also be door prizes and a tasty boxed chicken lunch. To add to the festive atmosphere, seniors are encouraged to wear tropical shirts, leis, and beach colours.
Pre-sale tickets for the picnic are available until September 23. They can be purchased at the Campbell County Senior Center, located at 3504 Alexandria Pike, Highland Heights, during its operating hours. Tickets will cost $10 each during the pre-sale period. Alternatively, tickets can also be purchased at the Campbell County Administration Building, located at 1098 Monmouth Street, Newport (Office 301).
On the day of the event, tickets will be available at the gate for $15. However, purchasing tickets in advance is recommended to secure a spot and save money.
