CEDIA Expo 2025 Unveiled: Details Revealed by 8k Association
The 8K Association, a non-profit organisation made up of key technology companies, is set to demonstrate the future of high-definition viewing at the CEDIA Expo 2021 in Denver.
Located in booth #4501, the 8K Pavilion covers a 20- x 30-foot space and showcases various exhibits about 8K technology. The Pavilion will feature 8K content from creators like IMAX, MGM, Savage Studios, Warner Bros Post Production, and others.
New advancements in 8K processing will be demonstrated by companies like Intel and Spin Digital. The specifications for a new Audio Connection for Multi-Devices (ACM) option, which supports delivery of both compressed and uncompressed audio streams over Wi-Fi from TVs to soundbars and other products, were finalized and officially approved by the 8KA Board in August. This new ACM option will be previewed at the Expo.
The 8K Association aims to demonstrate how 8K technology provides a more immersive and realistic viewing experience. 8K games, documentaries, sports, and upscaled content from providers like AMD, The Explorers, 4BY4, and others will also be presented.
The 8K Association's promotional efforts often involve presenting the immersive and realistic viewing experience that 8K technology offers. This includes showcasing technology through exhibits and conducting panel discussions with industry experts.
The 8K Pavilion features more than a dozen 8K Association member and partner companies, including Epson, JVC, Kaleidescape, Samsung, and others. The TWG, the engineering and specification development arm of the 8K Association, is responsible for technical definitions, test methodologies, and certification criteria.
