Prepare for a joyful celebration as the city of Brest gears up for its annual pre-Christmas and pre-New Year fairs. The festivities will run from the 1st of December until the 31st, extending into the New Year period until the 19th of January.

The heart of the celebrations will be found on Lenin Square and Pushkinskaya Street, where the pre-New Year fair will be in full swing. The fair will be accompanied by a smaller event on Gogol Street, both offering a delightful mix of Christmas decorations, carnival costumes, souvenirs, and festive items.

Approximately 60 vendors will participate in the fairs, showcasing their unique creations and offering a diverse selection of goods. If you're in search of the perfect Christmas tree, look no further! Over 13,000 live trees will be available for purchase in the city center and all microdistricts. Three more locations for Christmas tree markets will be added on the 26th of December.

As you wander through the fairs, keep an eye out for craftsmen displaying their exclusive creations. From intricate ornaments to one-of-a-kind souvenirs, there's something for everyone.

Sweet tooths will be delighted to find a variety of confectioneries available for purchase at the fairs. For those seeking a bit more excitement, additional food courts and a small amusement area have been set up on Gogol Street.

The operating hours for the fairs are as follows: the pre-New Year fair on Lenin Square and Pushkinskaya Street will be open from midday to 10:00 PM, while the fairs on Gogol Street will operate from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The Christmas tree markets, opening on the 17th of December, will run from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

The event program for the fairs caters to both children and adults, with musical performances planned throughout the season. Natalia Sologub, the organiser of the fairs, has hinted at significant changes and surprises at the pre-New Year fair, promising an unforgettable experience for all who attend.

So, mark your calendars and join in the festive spirit as Brest transforms into a winter wonderland this holiday season!
