Choi Chan-sook's First Catalog 'The Non-Statistical Body' Launches Oct. 8 in Berlin

Korean-born artist Choi Chan-sook, based in Seoul and Berlin, is set to release her first catalog, 'The Non-Statistical Body', this October through Distanz Verlag. The publication coincides with a conference and exhibition at Berlinische Galerie on Oct. 8.

Choi, who won the Korea Artist Prize 2021 for her media installation 'Qbit to Adam', explores themes of land ownership, community, mobility, and migration through her work in film, photography, and installation art. The upcoming catalog offers an in-depth look into her artistic practices, accompanied by essays from respected researchers.

The event features an impressive lineup of speakers, including Siegfried Zielinski, Lee Soo-yeon, Zoe Chun, Jesi Khadivi, and Cho Hyeok. While there's no confirmed information about Kwak Yung-bin's participation, the conference promises insightful discussions around Choi's work and its themes.

Mark your calendars for Oct. 8 at Berlinische Galerie to celebrate the publication of 'The Non-Statistical Body' and engage with Choi Chan-sook's thought-provoking art. The event promises to be a significant moment for art enthusiasts and professionals alike.
