Discussion Topic: Preferred Lehigh Merchandise Still Touted with Pride Among Alumni Today?
In an upcoming issue of the Bulletin, thoughts shared by alumni about their favorite Lehigh University articles will feature prominently. Alumni are encouraged to let the Bulletin know their thoughts, with a chance of being featured in the upcoming issue.
One such alumnus, Allyson Lysaght '96, still cherishes a sweatshirt she obtained during a campus tour in 1992. Despite the sweatshirt's fraying and beaten-up condition, she is unwilling to part with it. Another alumna, Beth Haselbach '94, owns a bear mascot that joined her at Lehigh for all four years of her studies. Interestingly, the bear mascot now resides in Switzerland.
Haselbach '94 also owns a T-shirt from 1972, which was her first Lehigh merchandise. Dan Krouse III '80 owns a shirt commemorating the 1977 National Championship, though it no longer fits him. A more recent graduate, Frankie Trovato '07, prefers a Champion Lehigh stitched white-ish gray sweatshirt and a flat brim snapback as his favorite wardrobe item.
The Lehigh Alumni can be found on Instagram under the handle @lehighalumni, and they are actively seeking alumni to share their prized Lehigh possessions. The Lehigh Alumni Facebook page is currently asking alumni to do just that, and social media channels are a place to keep an eye on for future questions from the page.
For those who wish to stay updated on Squawk questions, the Lehigh Alumni can be followed on Facebook and Instagram. The specific alumni of Lehigh University who have shared their favorite university articles on the Lehigh Alumni Facebook page are not publicly listed or detailed.
Regardless of the specific items shared, it is clear that the spirit of Lehigh University lives on in the hearts and homes of its alumni, long after they have graduated.
