Dresden - This past Thursday, the ibis Hotel "Bastei" graciously handed over around 400 plush pillows and 30 warm blankets to the Dresden Community Table.
"We frequently update the hotel's bedding, and we've recently moved to larger, comfy pillows," explained hotel director Tom Jacob (36). "As we're committed to sustainability, we were more than happy to give these pillows and blankets a new lease on life."
Another substantial donation, estimated to be in the thousands, is in the works for the end of the year.
"Each guest who foregoes daily housekeeping automagically supports the table and our planet with a 50 cent donation. Over 80 percent of our guests participate in this environmentally friendly initiative."
