The summer season in Arnsberg is heating up with a series of events at the Storchennest outdoor pool, and the highlight is the upcoming "After Work" event on August 7, 2025, from 5 PM to 7 PM.
This free event promises a casual atmosphere with live music and cocktails, providing the perfect opportunity to unwind after a long day of work. The event is part of an ongoing effort to establish the Storchennest as a cultural meeting point in Arnsberg.
While the specific artists performing at the Storchennest on August 7 are yet to be announced, music enthusiasts can look forward to various live music events throughout August organised by the Verkehrsverein Arnsberg e.V. These Thursday concerts, held at the Promenade, showcase a variety of genres including roots-oriented reggae, folk punk rock, pop, rock, and hip-hop.
The "After Work" event at the Storchennest is free to attend, and all proceeds will go towards supporting the operation of the outdoor pool. The season will end with "Rock in the Nest" on September 6th, as announced by Elke Henke, chairwoman of the association Freibad Storchennest Arnsberg, who also shared that the outdoor pool will be open until early September.
As the weather warms up, Arnsberg residents can enjoy swimming at the Storchennest not just on Wednesdays, but every day from 10 AM to 8 PM on Saturdays, 7:30 AM to 7 PM on weekdays, and 10 AM to 7 PM on Sundays and public holidays. For those seeking a more structured routine, Aqua-Fitness with Christoph is available every Monday from 7 PM to 7:45 PM, and Yoga at the Storchennest is available every Wednesday from 9 AM to 10 AM.
