Event for Kids in Dusseldorf: Educational Program on World Oceans Day
Join the Aquazoo in Düsseldorf on June 8th, from 10 am to 12:30 pm, for an exciting and educational workshop titled "On the go with Kira Coral". This event, held in celebration of World Oceans Day, promises a fun-filled journey into the world of coral reefs and marine conservation.
The workshop is based on the captivating story of Kira Coral, a little coral on a mission to become the most colorful in the ocean, with the help of an algae. The story is brought to life with real underwater footage, a marine backdrop, and interactive elements that will engage and educate both children and adults.
During the workshop, Alina Gries, a children's book author, will read from her book "Kira Coral", adding an extra layer of intrigue to the proceedings. The experts from the Aquazoo will also be present, ready to share fascinating insights about various marine creatures such as moray eels, rays, and seahorses. They will explain the vital roles these animals play in the marine habitat.
Victoria Blocksdorf, known for her work with "Blockblocks Cleanup" in Düsseldorf, will demonstrate the importance of environmental protection during the workshop. She aims to pass on her enthusiasm for this cause to the participants.
The workshop includes a clean-up activity at the end, where participants will be equipped with gloves, trash bags, and tongs to help keep our oceans clean. After the event, the Aquazoo exhibition can still be visited, providing an opportunity to delve deeper into the wonders of the marine world.
Places for the workshop are limited, so registration by email to [email protected] is required. The workshop is open to children aged 5 to 10, and parents are welcome to join.
