Exam Day Dress Code for RRB NTPC Candidates in 2025: Learn the Appropriate Attire for Both Men and Women
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the dress code guidelines for the NTPC UG exam scheduled from 7th August to 9th September 2025 [1]. The code aims to ensure a fair and secure examination environment, smooth biometric verification, and prevent malpractice.
Dress Code for Male Candidates
Male candidates are advised to wear plain shirts or t-shirts, avoiding kurtas, hoodies, layered, embroidered, or designer clothes. Simple slippers or sandals are the only footwear allowed, with shoes, sports shoes, and heels strictly prohibited. Accessories such as wristwatches, rings, bracelets, chains, or any other accessories are not permitted.
Dress Code for Female Candidates
Female candidates should opt for plain salwar kameez, shirt, t-shirt, or kurta, avoiding embroidered outfits, metallic buttons, or layered clothing. Only simple slippers or sandals are allowed for footwear, with shoes and sports footwear banned. Jewelry like rings, bangles, chains, bracelets, or watches is not allowed. Plain rubber bands are the only hair accessories permitted, with metallic hair accessories banned. Religious items are allowed only if explicitly declared in the admit card.
General Restrictions for All Candidates
All candidates are prohibited from carrying writing tools, electronic gadgets, bags, books, notes, water bottles, food (open or packed), or cameras during the exam. Henna/mehndi on hands and feet is also not allowed to prevent biometric verification issues.
The dress code emphasizes plain and simple wear without metallic or flashy elements, unadorned footwear, and strict prohibition of accessories and electronic gadgets to facilitate fast and fair screening on exam day.
