Witten's Ascension Festival Kicks Off on Father's Day: Here's the Pricing Details for Roasted Almonds, Ride Tokens, and Chocolate Fruits - Essential Information for a Smooth Fair Experience for the Family

The Witten Ascension Fair is set to commence on Father's Day, bringing an array of attractions and food stalls to Ruhrstraße, Witten's main thoroughfare. Carnival enthusiasts can expect a range of experiences, from thrilling rides to sweet treats, as the city celebrates its 330th Ascension Fair.

Bungee trampolines, supervised by a 15-meter Ferris wheel, will cost €6 for a three-minute jump. The Ferris wheel itself spins for €4 for adults and €3 for children. Those spending €10 can choose to pay by card.

Indulgent fare can be found at Pinky Sweets, a booth run by local carnival operator Max Nowag. Offerings range from traditional roasted almonds at €4 per 100 grams to novelty items such as Nutella almonds, Raffaello almonds, and vanilla almonds that resemble snowballs. The popular Oreo strawberry skewer costs €6.

New this year is the carousel "X-Force," which spins passengers over two axes for €4. The carousel accommodates both children and adults, with the thrill level adjustable based on the passengers.

At the intersection of Ruhrstraße and Bergerstraße, visitors can find the attraction "Time-Factory," a walk-through ghost train-style experience costing €4. Accompaniment is required for children under six.

The heart of the Witten fair is on Bergerstraße, featuring the autoscooter, breakdance, and historical merry-go-round. A photo from the autoscooter ride is available for an additional €5. The merry-go-round, a Witten original, costs €4 for a ride.

Children as young as eight can partake in the breakdance, a genuine classic that celebrates its 40th birthday this year. Younger children may watch, but cannot ride until they reach eight.
