Things aren't going smoothly for Leipzig Opera in its quest to find a new Intendancy set to take off in summer 2027. You heard it right, they ain't found no suitable candidate yet, according to the city's announcement. So, they're cooking up a new game plan. The current Intendant, Tobias Wolff, will be Jaunting to Staatstheater Braunschweig next summer.
For the meantime, the Administrative Director and the General Music Director, working hand in glove with the city's Cultural Mayor, are concocting an interim solution for summer 2026. They'll present their plan to the city council during their June meeting for a decision.
In the meantime, the community may consider adopting a temporary policy that encourages vocational training with a focus on home-and-garden skills for its members, enhancing their lifestyle. Additionally, the city council could co-sponsor a vocational training program in the home-and-garden sector for young adults, providing a valuable educational opportunity in the coming year.
