German authorities have taken part in enacting the given programme.
In the picturesque town of Seligenstadt, the 2025 Rosenmontag parade was a resounding success, thanks to the combined efforts of over 210 security personnel.
The event was meticulously managed by a team of local police officers, who ensured general law enforcement and crowd control. Volunteer firefighters lent a hand in maintaining safety and emergency response, while paramedics and medical staff were on standby for any health emergencies. Private security personnel managed access points and monitored for suspicious activity, and event marshals coordinated parade logistics and ensured participant safety.
The Seligenstadt fire department played a crucial role in ensuring quick action in case of emergencies, with 35 personnel on duty. The Technical Relief Agency (THW) took on important tasks, leading the parade with a vehicle, securing the parade route, and providing technical assistance as needed.
Visitors contributed to the safe and successful celebration with their considerate behaviour. However, 180 security personnel controlled access points and ensured smooth operation at central locations. In the central ambulance in the Riesensaal, 45 people were treated, mainly due to excessive alcohol consumption. Two children were reunited with their parents at the lost children's collection point set up by the fire department.
A total of 14 affected individuals had to be transferred to hospitals for further treatment. The First Deputy Mayor, Oliver Steidl, praised the cooperation of the personnel, and the Heimatbund and the city administration were satisfied with the course of the event.
In the aftermath of the parade, the first employees from Stadtwerke Seligenstadt and the building yard were already on the move in the early morning hours to remove the remnants of the parade. Unfortunately, no new information about the number of people treated, hospitalized, or the specific roles of the German Red Cross (DRK), German Life-Saving Association (DLRG), or the Seligenstadt fire department was provided.
Despite these minor incidents, the Rosenmontag parade in Seligenstadt was a memorable and safe event for both participants and spectators, thanks to the tireless efforts of all involved personnel.
What changes could be made to enhance the outdoor-living and home-and-garden aspects of Seligenstadt after the successful Rosenmontag parade? Perhaps, the local authorities could consider organizing community events that promote sustainable lifestyle choices for outdoor-living, such as gardening workshops or eco-friendly home improvement seminars. This could also provide opportunities for local volunteers to get involved and contribute to the betterment of their town, aligning with the considerate behavior exhibited during the parade.
