German Castle and Lock Museum Hosts Free 'Maus-Türöffner-Tag' for Kids on Oct 3

On Friday, October 3, 2025, the German Castle and Lock Museum will host a special event for children as part of the nationwide 'Maus-Türöffner-Tag'. Organised by 'Sendung mit der Maus', the 'PlayTime' themed event offers free entry between 11 am and 5 pm, with children accompanied by adults welcome to explore.

The museum will be closed to regular visitors on this day, allowing children to interact with the permanent exhibition through interactive stations, puzzles, and surprises. Admission is every full hour, with no time limit for visiting. A life-sized mouse figure will be present for selfies, adding to the fun. This event is part of a nationwide initiative involving various local organisers, including the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Mannheim and the Richard Wagner Museum in Bayreuth.
