Heading to Düsseldorf
Düsseldorf is gearing up for an action-packed summer with a diverse range of activities for children and young people. The city sports association's sports action bus will be a key feature, offering sporty highlights such as archery, football camp, volleyball, and more.
The holiday program, which aims to provide beautiful, creative, and affordable experiences for around 3,500 Düsseldorf children and young people, as in the previous year, consists of one-, two-, or three-week offers in small and fixed groups, running daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Participants will be required to present a corresponding certificate or undergo testing, in compliance with current coronavirus protection measures. The program will be offered in accordance with these measures, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
City Director Burkhard Hintzsche expressed his gratitude to the free providers and youth associations for putting together such a varied program that complies with coronavirus protection measures. He also mentioned that the program includes knightly games, sports and movement, art and media, adventures, and creativity.
Young participants can look forward to making big jumps at the parcouring offered by the Evangelical Youth in Düsseldorf, while the Düsseldorf adventure playgrounds will offer special programs focusing on activities such as hammering, sawing, digging, building booths, handling animals, and nature experiences.
For those interested in the holiday program, information can be obtained at the youth center zeTT at the main station (telephone 8922033). An exception to the registration process is for the "Düsseldorfchen", which can only be booked online under [www.duesselfrieden.info/].
Registration for the holiday program will start on Saturday, June 12, at 10 a.m., with the respective providers of the measure. Participation costs are 35 euros per week and child, but are reduced to 17 euros per week and child for Düsseldorf pass holders.
