In a significant development, the town council of Meßstetten has unanimously approved a new housing project in the Grund/Hülbenwiesen area of Hartheim. The project, which covers 5.93 hectares, offers 64 building plots for single-family and double-family houses, with an average size of 550 square meters each.

The project, which was initiated five and a half years ago by Rainer Maender, former building mayor of Albstadt, was highlighted as important by Mayor Frank Schroft at the beginning of a recent meeting. The meeting saw the attendance of young families from Hartheim, who listened to the discussions.

The planning of the Grund/Hülbenwiesen area in Hartheim has been developed based on a new land use plan. Notably, the decision was made not to overplan the triangle between K 7148 and K 7149, preserving ecologically valuable areas.

Mayor Bodo Schuessler expressed his relief and thanked Rainer Maender for his efforts. The zoning plan for the area has now been approved, and the building area will be accessible via a main road and a plot on Erlenstraße.

The demand for new housing in Meßstetten, particularly in Hartheim, is high. This new project is expected to address some of this demand, contributing positively to the local community.

It's worth noting that Hartheim, while known for its historical context as a Nazi-period euthanasia killing center, is also home to a research forest site studied by the University of Freiburg’s environmental meteorology department. This site is involved in ecological and atmospheric research projects but not explicitly linked to residential construction.

For up-to-date details on residential developments, local government urban planning sources or recent news outlets covering Hartheim would be the next best places to check.

  1. In addition to the new housing project, residents of Hartheim might also be interested in other finance opportunities, such as real-estate investments or home-and-garden renovation loans.
  2. As more families move into the newly developed Grund/Hülbenwiesen area, local lifestyle options may expand, with an increased demand for amenities like cafes, parks, and schools.
  3. For those with a keen interest in real-estate, the new housing project serves as a prime example of how careful planning and collaboration between local officials can lead to successful developments in Hartheim.
