Located at 306 Grand Street in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, this unique bookstore will be a haven for those who love to embrace fear and delve into the darker side of literature.
The grand opening celebration will take place over the weekend of September 6 and 7, with opening hours from 12 pm to 8 pm both days. Regular store hours, once settled, will be Tuesday through Thursday from 11 am to 8 pm, Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 11 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm.
The Twisted Spine boasts a collection of approximately 5,000 horror-related titles, meticulously curated to cater to both seasoned horror fans and those new to the genre. The store is designed to encourage exploration, with sections for young readers and those new to horror, as well as dedicated areas for various sub-genres such as slasher, true crime, and mushroom horror.
Co-founder and owner, Lauren Komer, explains that The Twisted Spine will also offer ample space to host events. The store's inviting, academic, gothic, and dark atmosphere, complete with a backyard cemetery for sunny and cool evenings, promises to make every visit a memorable experience.
