Introducing the Baristas of Your Leaky Cauldron - Part one
At Hellgate High School, the Leaky Cauldron coffee cart is more than just a place to grab a morning brew. The baristas, Ebony and Oxlip, bring a unique blend of professionalism and fun that makes the café a popular hangout spot for students.
Ebony, known for her calm and collected demeanor, often serves as the voice of reason among the staff. She is quite skilled at making drinks that match each customer's mood. On the other hand, Oxlip, with his quirky and playful personality, often invents new, magical-themed recipes for the café. Despite his prankster antics, he deeply cares about his friends and the café’s atmosphere.
During the Wednesday morning shift from 7:30 to 9:30 am, Erin Berryman and Michelle Thornblade take over the counter. Berryman, a mother of three, including a sophomore at Hellgate High School, enjoys getting a little glimpse into the world of high schoolers. Thornblade, who hosts an exchange student from Spain, shares Thornblade's enthusiasm for getting to know other parents and seeing kids she knows.
Thornblade, who did not start drinking coffee until she was almost 30 years old, describes herself as "enthusiastic and boisterous due to the occasional caffeine kick." Painter, another barista, prefers a double shot latte with two pumps of caramel. She finds her favourite aspect of the coffee cart to be meeting the students and crafting drinks that bring them joy.
Rhett Hoff works the Monday and Wednesday morning shifts, while Sally Painter takes care of the Tuesday shift. Both Berryman and Thornblade have other children who will be attending Hellgate High School in the future. Berryman is also employed at Rattlesnake Elementary.
The baristas at the Leaky Cauldron are not just serving coffee; they are creating a community where students and parents can connect, laugh, and start their day with a smile.
