Kaarst: Waste Collection Changes & Branch Bundling Guidelines
Kaarst residents are reminded of changes to waste collection, including a database error affecting collection dates for the coming week. The city also provides guidelines for trash bundling and collection.
Due to a database error, collection dates for trash and biowaste in Kaarst from March 18 to 22 are missing from many waste calendars. Despite this, biowaste bin collection has resumed this week and will continue on usual days. Residents are advised to check the city's website or contact the waste management department for updated collection schedules.
For trash collection, the city recommends using natural fiber cord to bundle trash. Bundles should not exceed 1.20 meters in length or 35 kilograms in weight, and the maximum collection amount is 1 cubic meter per property. Larger amounts can be collected upon request, with an additional service charge. Residents are reminded that trash collection will take place during the week starting April 2 instead of biowaste bins. During this week, there will be no biowaste collection due to Easter. Residents can also deliver up to two trailer loads (each approximately 0.5 cubic meters) of trash free of charge per year to the waste management center in Lahnstraße.
In summary, Kaarst residents should use natural fiber cord for bundling trash, adhere to the given size and weight limits, and be aware of the upcoming changes in collection schedules. Despite the database error, biowaste collection will continue as usual, and trash collection will take place during the week of April 2 instead of biowaste bins.
