Martinic Cocktail Preparation Guide (With Jam)
Welcome to your new favorite boozy treat, the Jar-tini! Born out of our desire for a fun twist on happy hour during lockdown, Caroline Chambers stepped up with her jar-garita in 2020. Inspired by her creation and our affinity for mixed drinks, let's give an empty jar a second life as a martini shaker for a vibrant strawberry preserves martini.
This cocktail packs a punch, but it's not unbearably strong – after all, we want you to remember the night! The sugar from the jam softens the vodka, and the acidity from the lemon provides a perfect balance and tames the sweetness. The end result? A refreshing, bright drink with a subtle berry note that'll leave you craving more.
So, gather your ingredients, let's shake things up!

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (2 oz.) vodka
- 1 Tbsp. (1/2 oz.) fresh lemon juice (from 1 small lemon)
- 2 Tbsp. leftover strawberry preserves (from 1 [13-oz.] jar)
- Ice
- Fresh strawberry, for garnish
- Lemon twist, for garnish

Directions
- Gather all ingredients.
- Add vodka and lemon juice to leftover preserves in a (13-oz.) jar. Seal jar and shake until well combined, about 15 seconds.
- Fill jar with ice, and shake 30 seconds or until well chilled.
- Strain cocktail into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a strawberry and lemon twist. Serve immediately.
