Neukirchen-Vluyn Kindergartens Receive Book Packages, Sparking Love for Reading

The Neukirchen-Vluyn city library's sponsorship association recently gifted book packages to five kindergartens in the DRK district association Niederrhein. The special reading hour, supported by the Förderverein, introduced children to the library and the joy of reading.

The Bürgerstiftung Neukirchen-Vluyn donated the book packages, which were personally presented by chairman Kurt Best. He emphasized that 'books open worlds and spark imagination'. The kindergarten children were eager listeners, as reported by Ute Michalski, head of Kita Gänseblümchen, who noted the importance of books in their daily lives.

During the reading hour, Dirk Tenberg captivated the children with exciting animal stories. Jürgen Meier, managing director of the Förderverein, introduced the city library and encouraged the children's curiosity for more books and stories. The DRK district association Niederrhein thanked both the Bürgerstiftung and the Förderverein for their commitment, which enriches the kindergartens' educational work sustainably.

The book packages and reading hour events have fostered a love for reading among the kindergarten children in Neukirchen-Vluyn. The collaboration between the Bürgerstiftung, Förderverein, and DRK district association has significantly enhanced the educational experience for the young learners.
