Neukirchen-Vluyn's Art Showcase
At Kultur Cafe KuCa in Neukirchen-Vluyn, a unique art exhibition is running from September 7, 2022, to October 6, 2025. The "Aquarelle & Structure United" showcase features the works of the Engaged Art Group, a painting course led by Anette Adams at the Community College.
The exhibition highlights a fusion of watercolor (aquarelle) techniques with structured artistic elements, reflecting a unique blend of fluidity and form. Visitors can expect a diverse collection of artworks that explore this interplay, demonstrating the creativity and collaborative spirit of Anette Adams' group.
The artworks created by the group consist of Dagmar Ibel, Gisela Kamphausen, Marita Kunz, Gundel Dornbusch, Monika Oesterwind, Anne Höschen, Ingrid Grenzdörfer, Michaela Reschke, Bianca Grube, Alina Huldtgren, and Kerstin Nottebaum. Anette Adams, the teacher of the course since 2019, is pleased with the works of her course participants and believes that the appeal of aquarelle lies in the unique idea of making pictures glow.
The paintings exhibit a variety of different subjects in aquarelle with and without spatula mass on aquarelle cardboard or canvas. These artworks were created both in the VHS course building on Diesterwegstraße and in the artists' home studios. Many pictures can be purchased upon arrangement with the course leader, Anette Adams.
The success of the course is attributed to the combination of theoretical knowledge and painting techniques, which the group "worked through together with ease". Anette Adams has been a teacher at the VHS since 2019, and her weekly painting course at the Community College continues to inspire and educate her students.
The Engaged Art Group meets weekly for their painting course, fostering a sense of community and shared artistic growth.
