New additions to Wiesn 2025 unveiled

Oktoberfest 2025 in Munich: A Celebration of Tradition and Innovation

Get ready for the much-anticipated Oktoberfest 2025 in Munich, taking place from September 20 to October 5. This year promises a blend of the traditional and the new, with several exciting additions to the festival grounds.

New Attractions

Visitors can look forward to a new fairground photography exhibition at the Oidn Wiesn museum tent. This exhibition will showcase the evolution of fairground photography from the 19th century to the present day, featuring interactive elements and an immersive art installation by Romain Mader. Additionally, a new official information and souvenir stand will be available on the festival grounds, offering collectors' mugs, posters, and other memorabilia.

Gastronomy

As always, traditional Bavarian specialties like pork knuckle and world-famous Bavarian beer will be featured. While no new gastronomy highlights or competitions have been explicitly detailed for 2025, visitors can expect the classic variety of Bavarian foods and beers synonymous with Oktoberfest.

Music Competition

This year, a music competition called "A Liad für d'Wiesn" is being held for the first time to promote Bavarian music and find a new Wiesn hit. Out of 115 applications, eight songs have made it to the online voting stage. The first round of voting has already ended, and the top three songs will be voted on again from August 2.

Traffic Changes

Usual public transit options will serve the major event sites, including the U-Bahn (subway) with stops like Königsplatz (U2) and Olympiapark (U3). No new significant traffic changes for 2025 have been reported.
