New 'Mitfahren-Dreiland' Ride-Sharing Initiative Launches in Lörrach District
A new ride-sharing initiative, 'Mitfahren-Dreiland', has launched in the Lörrach district, supported by local cities, municipalities, and the canton of Basel-Stadt. The portal, accessible at www.mitfahren-dreiland.de, encourages sustainable mobility by connecting commuters, students, and leisure travellers.
The portal, launched in October, allows users to offer rides or search for ride-sharing opportunities free of charge. After registering, users can set up trips, including vehicle details and preferences, and arrange meeting points and cost-sharing via chat.
To promote sustainable mobility, the portal suggests combined routes that incorporate car, bus, or train travel. The initiative aims to facilitate mobility transitions in the region by linking commuters, students, and leisure travellers. Supporting the project are the cities and municipalities of Lörrach, Rheinfelden, Weil am Rhein, and nearby communities in the Dreiland region.
