New Residence at Stauffenberg Street

The city of Dresden is set to welcome a new development, as Wüstenrot Haus- und Städtebau GmbH (WHS) plans to construct 64 own-apartment units in Neustadt. The building, scheduled for completion by the end of 2027, will be located at Eva-Buettner-Straße 16, 18, and 18 a-c.

Eva Buettner, a renowned musician, journalist, and politician, will have a street named after her in the Albertstadt district of Dresden, honoring her significant contributions to the city. Born on 27th July 1886 in Dresden and passed away on 25th August 1969 in Kamenz, Eva Buettner was a member of the Saxon State Parliament as an SPD deputy from 1922 to 1926. She was also banned from working in 1933 and was taken into "protective custody" in the Dresden police prison.

The new development will consist of 2- to 4-room apartments with living areas ranging from 62 to 125 square meters. Depending on the variant, terraces, balconies, or heated winter gardens will be included. A garage and communal outdoor facilities with a children's playground are part of the offer. Heating and hot water supply will be provided via the local district heating network.

The building will receive the sustainability certificate 'Nachhaltiger Wohnungsbau (Nawoh)' and will meet the energy efficiency standard of an energy-efficient house 40 EE and the QNG-Plus quality seal for sustainable buildings. The WHS emphasizes sustainability, ensuring that the new building will be environmentally friendly and energy-efficient.

For those interested in the project, it is recommended to contact Wüstenrot directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information. The first occupancy of the apartments is planned for August, September 2027. Prices for the apartments are expected to range from just under 330,000 euros to 720,000 euros.

The building will have sloping Walm and mansard roofs to match the historical cityscape, further enhancing its aesthetic appeal. The apartments will also feature various floor plans, floor heating, level-access or low-level showers, and modern elevator facilities.
