New Series Alert: Bluey Takes a Break with Four Fresh Short Episodes on the Way
The popular Australian animated series, Bluey, has returned with a new slate of short-form series, offering fans interactive and thematic content across various platforms. The new series, Bluey Tunes, Bluey Puppets, Bluey Cookalongs, and Bluey Fancy Restaurant, were announced by BBC Studios and launched starting August 2025.
Bluey Tunes, premiering on August 5, 2025, on the Official Bluey YouTube channel, features 10 episodes of 1–2 minutes each. This stop-motion animated series of music video shorts is set to popular songs from the series, providing viewers with an opportunity to sing and dance along.
Joining Bluey Tunes are three additional series: Bluey Puppets, Bluey Cookalongs, and Bluey Fancy Restaurant. Bluey Puppets is a craft-focused series, with 3–5 minute episodes plus downloadable craft sheets, guiding viewers on how to make favourite Bluey characters. Bluey Cookalongs invites real families to cook recipes inspired by Bluey, while Bluey Fancy Restaurant encourages kids to recreate the Fancy Restaurant at home. Both cookalongs and Fancy Restaurant feature 10 episodes filmed across Australia.
These new series are now available to watch on multiple platforms, including ABC iview in Australia, Disney Jr., Disney Channel, and Disney Jr. On Demand in the U.S., Disney+ globally, the official Bluey YouTube channel (with Bluey Tunes available now), and soon on the Disney Jr. YouTube channel.
This broad international release aims to deepen fan engagement through interactive content such as dancing, crafting, and cooking with Bluey characters. Additionally, celebrity read-alongs of Bluey storybooks feature Helena Bonham Carter, Rose Byrne, and Elijah Wood.
