Newcomers to the Offenbach Carnival Group
The Offenbach Carnival Village (OKV) is gearing up for an exciting celebration in 2025, with a diverse and lively programme that is sure to delight carnival enthusiasts.
In a recent press conference, the OKV chairman, Andreas Hümmer, and senate president, Ursula Ölcer, praised the new and long-standing honorary members for their unwavering support. Anja Kofahl, chairwoman of the Offenbach cultural committee, has been appointed to the honorary council for her enthusiasm towards carnival events. Kim-Sarah Speer, a member of the state parliament, has also been recognised for her support of carnival traditions. Lukas Kreher, former Lederbaron from Obertshausen, has been honoured for strengthening the friendship between the carnivalists of Offenbach and Obertshausen. Gertrud Marx, chairwoman of the Tempelsee settlers' community and honorary city councillor, and Silke Seeger, granddaughter of Alfred Seeger who shaped the Offenbach carnival, have also been appointed to the honorary council. The event calendar is well-filled, with the traditional town hall storm taking place on February 15, 2025. The day begins at 10 a.m. with a visit to the weekly market at the town hall.
