Onet Reaches 50,000-Milestone
Onetz, formerly known as Oberpfalznetz, made its debut on Facebook on February 8, 2010. Since then, it has become a popular platform for news, events, and cultural happenings in the Upper Palatinate region of Germany.
The page values user interaction, often asking its subscribers to share their reasons for wanting to be featured as the monthly cover photo. With slightly more women (56%) than men subscribing to Onetz, it's clear that the community is diverse and engaged.
Onetz reaches a substantial audience, with posts frequently reaching up to 80,000 to 100,000 Facebook users when shared. The team behind Onetz is dedicated to maintaining a quick response time, typically responding to user questions within an average of 1 minute.
The Onetz community spans beyond the borders of Germany, with subscribers hailing from countries such as the US, Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Peru, Brazil, and India. The majority of its subscribers, approximately 95.3%, are from Germany, with a significant portion residing in the northern part of the Upper Palatinate.
Onetz has "siblings" in the form of regional Facebook pages for Amberg and the Amberg-Sulzbach district, as well as for Weiden and the NeustadtWN district.
In addition to news and events, Onetz occasionally offers giveaways to its subscribers. A current giveaway offers five NT-Ticket vouchers worth 50 euros each. To enter, send an email with your name and address to redaktion@onze website with the subject: 50,000 and complete the sentence: "For me, Onetz on Facebook means..." The deadline for entries is September 15, 2019.
Beyond Facebook, the Onetz article is also available on WhatsApp, Messenger, Pinterest, Mail, and Print, making it accessible to a wide audience.
Recent events in the region include a traffic accident near Pommelsbrunn and a controversial performance of the first verse of the German national anthem at the German firefighting championships in Torgau, Saxony.
In a separate incident, a meat truck overturned on the A9 highway, and a tractor overturned in Heidenheim, Baden-Württemberg, causing severe injury to a four-year-old boy. Our thoughts are with those affected by these incidents.
Onetz changed its name to Onetz on December 16, 2016, reflecting its continued evolution and commitment to serving the Upper Palatinate community.
