In a surprising turn of events, Havin Gemic, a regular visitor of the Mineralbad Berg, recently ventured to the Inselbad in Untertürkheim. This exception to her usual preference can be attributed to the spaciousness and slide that Inselbad offers, a welcome change from her regular mineral baths.

However, the expected rush at the Inselbad on Saturday did not materialize, with low attendance reported at Stuttgart's public pools, including the Inselbad, despite the recent hot weather. The reasons for this low attendance remain indirect and are likely influenced by factors such as concerns about hygiene or maintenance issues, the availability of alternative recreation, ongoing COVID-19 regulations, social attitudes, and competition from other leisure activities.

Meanwhile, the Mineralbad Berg saw a low to medium occupancy rate on Sunday afternoon. Visitors at the Mineralbad Berg were seen sunbathing, reading, or enjoying champagne on their towels, while lifeguard Lien Hörnig reported a quiet day with few incidents in the water. The Mineralbad Berg, however, lacks fun and paddling pools, and its admission prices are higher than in Untertürkheim.

Ralf Helm, a regular at Stuttgart's largest public pool for over 30 years, was among those enjoying the cooler temperatures at the Mineralbad Berg. Max Alt, a resident of the Wangen district, visited the Inselbad for the first time, drawn by the absence of the usual queue at the entrance. The younger visitors at the Inselbad were enjoying themselves in the paddling pool, water playground, and the 90-meter slide.

The Inselbad still boasts plenty of green on its lawns, even on the popular shady spots. The sports pool at the Inselbad allows for easy swimming without constant weaving around human obstacles, making it a favourite among the sporty crowd.

The Mineralbad Berg is open until Sunday, 14th September, while the Inselbad continues to attract many Stuttgart residents over the weekend. Despite the differences in atmosphere and amenities, both pools offer a refreshing escape from the summer heat.

Havin Gemic, who usually prefers a lifestyle of outdoor-living and home-and-garden activities, found a change of scenery at the Inselbad, with its expansive grounds and slide. On the other hand, visitors at the Mineralbad Berg, such as Ralf Helm, spent their days lounging and enjoying champagne, highlighting the distinct difference in lifestyle offerings between the two pools.
