Thousands immerse in mud at Woodstoig's kickoff festival
The Woodstoig Festival, taking place on August 1st and 2nd in Riedhausen, is gearing up for an unforgettable weekend. With a lineup of renowned headliners and a host of exciting activities, the event promises to be a hit with its 6000 guests per evening.
Nicky Romero and DJ Antoine are set to headline the festival, with Nicky Romero also set to put on a spectacular pyrotechnics show. Joining them are a host of other talented artists performing across five stages: the main stage, Magic Forest, Dump, Funky Town, and the new addition for this year, the Beer Garden.
The Beer Garden stage will feature folk music on Saturday afternoon, providing a relaxing atmosphere for festival-goers to enjoy. A secret act is also scheduled to perform on Saturday night at 11 PM, adding an element of mystery to the event. However, it's worth noting that confirmed details about this secret act are not yet available.
The Woodstoig team, consisting of around 30 to 40 people daily and 25 core members since 2017, has been working tirelessly to prepare for the festival. The setup has been in progress for a week, and large areas won't be a problem for visitors, as assured by Nikolai Egler from the organizing team.
To ensure a smooth experience, festival-goers are advised to download their tickets in advance due to potential network issues. Sturdy shoes, rain jackets, and a good mood are also recommended, as the festival grounds have been muddy due to rain.
In addition to the music and activities, the Woodstoig Festival offers a variety of other attractions. These include a Ferris wheel, tattoo station, barber, hairdresser, a "Short Bar" with little people as bartenders, and a new blind date action for singles. The motto for this year's festival is "Fire", which is visible in many decorative details on the grounds.
