Transformed Giant Displays into Your Performance Platform

Vizrt, a leading provider of visual storytelling tools for media content creators, has announced the release of its updated Viz Engine, now in version 5.4. This latest iteration is designed to set the pace in the broadcast revolution, rather than following it.

Caroline Cardozo, VP of product management at Vizrt, described Viz Engine 5.4 as a step change, not just another version. According to Cardozo, audiences demand high-quality content on various platforms, and the pace of multi-platform delivery is accelerating.

The updated Viz Engine aims to reduce the need for duplicating work and managing multiple systems. It is intended to help teams keep pace with the broadcast revolution, rather than simply keeping up. Producers can now drive up to 8K visuals from a single Viz Engine, prepared for 16K in the future.

Viz Engine 5.4 powers primetime TV feeds, sports apps, and social livestreams in parallel. Adaptive graphics in Viz Engine 5.4 can hit broadcast, OTT, and social simultaneously, making it easier for teams to deliver content across multiple platforms.

HTML5 integration allows for the quick incorporation of live web content into graphics and on-air presentations. This integration, coupled with the engine's ability to handle multiple formats side-by-side in one workflow, reduces workload while expanding reach and revenue.

Native HDR creation in Viz Artist ensures the designed vibrancy is visible to the audience, enhancing the overall viewing experience. Viz Engine 5.4 also supports Unreal Engine 5.4 and 5.5, enabling hyper-realistic virtual sets and richer visual detail.

With Viz Engine 5.4, producers can create more relevant, personalized broadcasts, keeping viewers engaged longer. The engine is positioned to meet the challenge of accelerated multi-platform delivery, collapsing production complexity, reducing costs, and giving teams more time to focus on storytelling.

The last release of Viz Engine 5.4 was in February 2020. Since then, it has been refined to offer new capabilities for creating content once and adapting it for multiple platforms. This update is a significant step forward in Vizrt's mission to empower media content creators to tell their stories in the most engaging and efficient way possible.
