Community Groups in Regensburg and Kofering Celebrate Traditional Herb Bouquet Event

Residents of Regensburg and nearby Kofering are invited to participate in a series of herb bouquet tying events, organized by local community groups and institutions, that celebrate a long-standing Bavarian tradition.

Tomorrow, at 1 PM, St. Michael's Women's Group will host an herb bouquet tying event at St. Gunther Kindergarten's hall. Individuals are encouraged to bring their own herbs and flowers from their gardens to contribute to the creation of these aromatic bouquets. Helpers are welcome, and all donations from the event will go to St. Rita's Caritas House in Regensburg.

In the afternoon, at 3 PM, KDFB Aufhausen will also host a separate herb bouquet tying event in their parish garden. Participants are asked to bring their herb and flower donations for this event as well.

On both days, the herb bouquets will be blessed during Mass. The blessed bouquets from the event at St. Gunther Kindergarten's hall will be given out for a donation.

These groups and institutions, including St. Michael's Women's Group, St. Gunther Kindergarten, St. Rita's Caritas House, KDFB Aufhausen, and others, are committed to preserving the cultural and religious heritage of the region. By participating in or supporting these traditional events, they reinforce community bonds in Regensburg and Kofering.

In addition, a sale will take place before the herb blessing in Kofering on Friday.

Individuals who wish to contribute to the events but are unable to attend can still make a difference by donating herbs and flowers in the morning at either location. Let's come together and celebrate this beautiful tradition while supporting a worthy cause.
