Unruly Young Ones Roam the Wetlands of Lackford Lakes

Explore the great outdoors with your little ones at the upcoming Wild Tots session at Lackford Lakes! This nature-based activity is designed for children aged 18 months to 5 years, with babies in arms/baby-carrier/pushchair welcome to accompany an older sibling.

The Wild Tots session takes place at Lackford Lakes Nature Reserve, a family-friendly, wildlife-rich environment featuring lakes, meadows, and woodland trails. However, it's important to note that this session does not take place at the center.

To secure your spot, booking is required as places are limited. Some may be available on the day by calling ahead to confirm. The exact booking procedure and any associated fees can be found on the Suffolk Wildlife Trust's events page or by contacting the Trust directly.

The sessions are aimed at outdoor play in natural settings like woods and lakeside habitats. To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for your child, it's recommended to dress them in appropriate outdoor clothes, including wellies, as the session may involve a small amount of walking and can get muddy. Don't forget to pack a snack and drink for your child as well.

Accessibility is a priority at Wild Tots sessions. The routes are accessible to those using mobility aids or pushchairs, but accessibility might be affected by poor weather. If mobility might be an issue, it's best to contact the center in advance to discuss the week's plan.

The session takes place from 10am to 11:30am. For more detailed information, including the specific time and date of the session, age suitability, and accessibility accommodations, please check directly with Suffolk Wildlife Trust.

Lackford Lakes Nature Reserve Visitor Centre is the likely meeting point for the session. An accessible toilet with baby changing facilities is available at the center. For any inquiries regarding the session or the reserve, please contact the center at lackford.engagement@our website.

Join us at Lackford Lakes for a memorable Wild Tots outdoor session, where your child can connect with nature and have a wild time!
