Urban Seasonal Conclusion
Gießen's Outdoor Swimming Pools to Close for the Season
The outdoor swimming season in Kleinlinden and Lützelinden will come to an end on August 31st, as announced by Sonja Krausmüller, the swimming master of these facilities. This marks the conclusion of a season that saw a mix of weather conditions, affecting visitor numbers, particularly during the summer holidays.
Despite the challenges posed by the changeable summer weather, the district baths managed to stay open for a total of 91 days. However, July was particularly affected by poor weather, falling short of expectations.
As for the outdoor bath Ringallee, it will remain open until mid-September, weather permitting, possibly longer. Information about the exact closing date will be provided through press and the website www.giessener-baeder.de.
Approximately 22,000 bathers visited the district baths this season, taking advantage of the opportunities for swimming laps and sunbathing. Holders of season tickets for the district baths can continue to use them.
Sonja Krausmüller, who has been working as a swimming master in the outdoor swimming pools of Kleinlinden and Lützelinden in the city of Gießen, has announced that she will inform bathers about the closing date of the outdoor bath Ringallee.
At this time, no specific information about future plans or changes for next season has been provided. Furthermore, no information about the impact of the end of the season on local businesses or residents has been disclosed.
