Vast collection of fresh murals unveiled...

In the heart of Southend-on-Sea, a vibrant transformation is underway. A diverse group of German and international artists are working tirelessly to create nine stunning murals as part of the UK's largest street art festival, the UKW (Southend City Jam).

These artists have been active since July 5th, and their work will continue until September. Their canvases are the city's large building facades, scattered throughout the urban landscape, enriching it with a wide variety of works from artists worldwide.

The UKW event, a significant celebration of street art, is receiving nationwide attention. It runs from August 29th to August 31st, 2025, and includes activities such as "Street Art on the Cube with Peals" on August 30th and "Street Art on Canvas with Rask" on August 31st.

Initially, three murals were introduced, but six more are now following, bringing the total to nine. The exact number of artists involved in the project is not specified, but their collective efforts are making a lasting impact on the city's streetscape.

For more information about the murals and the UKW event, visit www.urbaner-kunstraum.de. The UKW street art event ends on August 31st, 2025, leaving visitors with just a few more days to witness this artistic spectacle.

This artistic spectacle not only enlivens the urban landscape of Southend-on-Sea but also revamps its home-and-garden aesthetics through the painted murals, integrating elements of lifestyle in the city's heart. The UKW event, stretching from July 5th to September, showcases both street art on large building facades and on canvas, offering a unique blend of home-and-garden and street-art cultures.
