The British hi-fi brand Marshall has recently released an exciting addition to their 3rd-gen home speaker range – the Marshall Woburn III. This speaker, available in brown, black, and cream, offers a powerful, immersive, and stylish audio experience with vintage design cues and modern technology.

The Woburn III, praised for its immersive and rich audio experience, delivers 120 watts of power, producing a loud and immersive Marshall signature sound with a sound pressure level (SPL) of about 100.5 dB. The speaker's frequency response spans from 35 Hz to 20 kHz, offering a wide range from deep bass to clear treble.

One of the standout features of the Woburn III is its re-engineered wider stereo soundstage. The tweeters are angled outwards, and updated waveguides provide a more immersive experience that fills large rooms effectively.

The Woburn III retains the iconic vintage Marshall look. In the brown version, a classic brown vinyl covering adds a retro aesthetic. The speaker is equipped with straightforward physical controls, including knobs and buttons for Bluetooth pairing, power, bass, treble, and volume, enabling users to adjust sound without needing their phone or remote.

Equipped with next-generation Bluetooth 5.2, the Woburn III supports high-quality wireless streaming and is future-proofed for upcoming Bluetooth features. It also has multiple input options, including RCA, HDMI, Bluetooth, and 3.5mm AUX, allowing a versatile connection to various audio sources.

The Woburn III is designed for home use and requires a power outlet (no battery operation). It is worth noting that the speaker is not water or dust resistant, so it is best suited for indoor environments.

Marshall amplifiers and speakers are well-known in the music industry, having been used by musicians like Clapton and Hendrix. The brand continues to maintain its presence in the music and home entertainment industries with each new innovative release.

The brown edition of the Woburn III features a copper-colored mesh in front and copper hardware on the top panel, with matching brown knob surrounds. The speaker, like the other versions, uses PVC-free materials, vegan leather, and 70% recycled plastic.

In 2023, the Woburn home speaker received a Red Dot Design Award, recognising its innovative design and technology. The JTM45 speaker, debuted by Marshall in 1962, revolutionised electric guitar amplification by handling a bigger, louder sound. Marshall developed the Stack, consisting of two stacked 4x12 speaker cabinets, after being approached by Pete Townshend and John Entwistle of The Who.

The Woburn III is a continuation of Marshall's innovative releases in the music and home entertainment industries. It is now available on Marshall's website and is perfect for users seeking both iconic aesthetics and high-quality sound in a stationary home speaker.

The Woburn III, with its immersive audio experience, is not just a home-and-garden gadget, but a fusion of interior-design and lifestyle, offering a stylish addition to any room with its vintage Marshall look. Equipped with modern technology like Bluetooth 5.2 and multiple input options, this speaker ensures a high-quality wireless streaming experience. The brown edition of the Woburn III, in particular, showcases a unique blend of technology and design, incorporating elements of both the classic and the contemporary, making it a standout in the home-and-garden and home-audio markets.
