World-premiere, sustainable, eco-friendly beef is now available at an Adelaide butcher shop
In an exciting development for local residents and the environment, Windsor Meats in Adelaide is now offering premium wagyu sustainable beef. This move allows customers to support local producers, enjoy world-class flavour, and contribute to reducing agriculture's environmental footprint.
The sustainable beef comes from CH4 Global, a South Australian global industrial company making waves in the industry. Sam Burt, the owner of Windsor Meats, expresses his enthusiasm about offering a more sustainable meat product.
CH4 Global is particularly focused on reducing methane, a significant contributor to global warming, from the livestock sector. Their Louth Bay EcoPark expansion plans aim to increase cultivation capacity tenfold, serving 45,000 cattle daily.
The secret to CH4 Global's methane-reducing beef production lies in the use of Asparagopsis, a type of seaweed scientifically proven to cut methane emissions from cows by up to 90% when used as a feed additive. The process, from seaweed cultivation to supplying finished beef, is planned to stay within the state.
This partnership with CH4 Global marks a significant step for Windsor Meats in Malvern, becoming the first retail outlet globally to stock low-methane, sustainable beef. The premium wagyu range is already available for purchase, with Angus beef products expected by October.
CH4 Global's mission extends beyond just providing sustainable beef. They aim to foster an ecosystem benefiting farmers, consumers, and retailers. Their achievements have been recognised globally, with features in The New York Times, Time Magazine, CNBC, and partnerships with international giants like Mitsubishi, Chipotle, Lotte, and UPL.
The South Australian government is proud of its continued support for CH4 Global, promoting the company as a climate-conscious, locally-innovative solution. Co-founder Dr Steve Meller joined Trade and Investment Minister Joe Szakacs on a CEO delegation to the World Expo in Japan, demonstrating state government support.
CH4 Global is a member of Brand SA, which promotes South Australian products under its 'Buy SA' campaign. This adds sustainable beef as a climate-conscious option to the growing list of proudly South Australian goods.
As Windsor Meats continues to offer these sustainable beef options, they are not only providing high-quality meat but also contributing to a greener future for all.
